Parenting a child with ADHD often means navigating far more than behaviour or routines.

It can bring grief over your child’s diagnosis, worry about their future, and the ongoing question of whether you’re doing enough, all while trying to maintain a strong and positive relationship with your child.

In my work, support for parents come first.

Before we focus on strategies for your child, we often spend time supporting you as a parent.

This foundation is especially important, as you may be navigating your own struggles while supporting your child, particularly if you have ADHD.

Once that foundation is in place, we then work together to:

  • Understand how ADHD shows up in your child

  • Align expectations with developmental ability

  • Build skills gradually and realistically

  • Reduce power struggles and shame cycles

  • Support growth without sacrificing connection

This two-step approach helps children grow up with skills, confidence, and emotional safety, while protecting your relationship with them.

My Service

Therapy and coaching for parents

  • 1:1 parent coaching (limited availability).

  • Parent courses (launching soon).

Is This the Right Fit?

This work may be a good fit if you:

  • are open to reflecting on your own responses and patterns

  • value understanding and emotional safety alongside strategies

  • want to support your child without fear, pressure, or shame

This may not be the right fit if you:

  • Are looking only for quick behavioural techniques without addressing the emotional foundation underneath.

FAQs

Do you work directly with my child?

No. I work with parents because I believe parents play the most important role in creating lasting change. When parents are supported and understand how to respond, children experience that support every day.

Why is therapy/ coaching needed for parents?

Emotional support for parents is a core part of how I work, because it shapes how strategies land, and how you respond, connect, and interact with your child in everyday moments.

What if I have ADHD myself?

That’s very common. We will also take time to understand and support your ADHD alongside your child’s needs.

Is this suitable for working parents?

Yes. Support is designed to be realistic and sustainable, not overwhelming.
